Due to its unique technical characteristics, REEF SPEC Carbon needs replacing less frequently than others on the market, making this carbon a cost effective solution for helping to acheive the very best in aquarium water quality.&edsp;&edsp;With extremely low phosphate leaching and with minimal ash content, REEF SPEC Carbon also does not affect the pH of aquarium water.

Notes on using REEF SPEC Carbon:-
In order to acheive best results, carbon media works best with good water to carbon contact, therefore moderate active water flow will increase the efficiency.&edsp;&edsp;Too strong water flow will reduce the adhesion process and efficiency.&edsp;&edsp;This can also cause carbon to grind together and leach carbon material into the water.&edsp;&edsp;For these reason we recommend a moderate flow through the carbon of approx 1000 to 1500 LPH per 50g of Carbon.
Rinse before use and for best results soak in RO water until any trapped air has been released.
