This is the upgrade kit only, to turn your non-smart reefer skimmer into the new Smart DC Reefer Skimmer

The RedSea Smart Reefer DC Skimmer 600 is the new self-leveling protein skimmer. The unit is extremely efficient thanks to its DC pump, the unit includes the special self-leveling technology which prevents over-skimming and spills from full cups. This is thanks to the included self-leveling sensor which monitors the skimmers operation and skim results, sending signals to the pump to lower or increase speeds as required. The cup also has an overflow sensor which triggers as the cup approaches being full, this will slow down the skimmer to prevent additional skim coming up to prevent a overflow within the system, once cleared the system will return to normal operation.

The unit comes with its classic Reef Skimmer body which has a highly effective air intake silencer, integrated neck cleaner, Foamview window for easy foam regulation, high volume reaction chamber for optimal air/water contact time, hydrodynamic efficient bubble diffusion chamber, precision geared skim regulator, easy maintenance click in/out pump holder and vibration reducing connectors and feet.

The Smart Reefer DC Skimmers can be connected to the new ReefRun dual controller (Sold separately) for full easy control which connects to the new PSK DC skimmer pump for turning on and off, manual control and automatic control within the ReefBeat application. The controller allows for your skimmer and return pump to be loaded on to the Reefbeat app and both be switched on and off with 1 button.

The new pumps are extremely efficient coming in at 20W on the skimmer 300, 25W on the skimmer 600 and 30W on the skimmer 900 while still providing optimal air and water for efficient and effective skimming.
