Despite their smaller size, Gold Flash Dwarf Parrots are highly active swimmers that appreciate space. A minimum tank size of 250 litres is recommended, though larger is always better. They benefit from a layout that includes open swimming space as well as structured areas with rockwork or coral for shelter and foraging.

These fish can be shy at first, especially when introduced to a new tank. Giving them several caves, arches, and shaded areas will help them settle in and display more natural behaviour. Once comfortable, they tend to be confident and always on the move, inspecting every corner of the tank.

Feeding and Nutrition
